Maxence Caqueret

Maxence Caqueret is a French midfielder born in Vénissieux on 15 February 2000. He began playing at Chaponnay Marennes before joining Lyon’s academy at 11, developing into a regular captain in the club’s youth teams. Caqueret made his senior debut for Lyon in a Coupe de France victory over Bourges 18 on 5 January 2019. He made his Ligue 1 debut against Strasbourg later that year and recorded an assist. At Lyon, he established himself through energetic pressing, tidy passing and intelligent positioning in central midfield, while also contributing on the European stage. Caqueret moved to Como in January 2025 after progressing through Lyon’s first team, beginning his first senior chapter outside France. At Como, Maxence Caqueret has continued to operate as a central or defensive midfielder, helping recycle possession while taking on greater attacking responsibility.
