Mário Jorge Malico Paulino

Mário Jorge Malico Paulino, known as Camora, is a Portuguese-born Romanian defender who plays primarily at left-back for CFR 1907 Cluj. Born in Samora Correia in 1986, he developed at GD Samora Correia before progressing through Portugal’s lower divisions. He was contracted to Beira-Mar, with loan spells at Avanca and Pampilhosa, and also played for Valdevez before establishing himself with Naval 1º de Maio. From 2009 to 2011, Camora made 64 appearances for Naval and established himself in Portugal’s top flight. In July 2011, he moved to CFR Cluj, where his long service made him the club’s appearance leader and a captain during a highly successful period. Camora won six Romanian league titles with Cluj, in 2012 and from 2018 through 2022, and represented Romania after gaining citizenship in 2020, earning 10 caps.
