Mehdi Boukamir

Mehdi Boukamir is a Moroccan defender born in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre on January 26, 2004. At 1.88m, he developed with Espoir Jemeppe before joining Charleroi’s academy, where he signed his first professional contract in February 2021. Boukamir moved into Charleroi’s senior squad during the 2022–23 season and made his professional debut against Cercle Brugge on October 21, 2022. He later extended his Charleroi contract to 2025, then joined Pafos on loan on September 9, 2024. The spell in Cyprus gave the centre-back further senior experience before he returned to Charleroi. Internationally, Boukamir represented Belgium at under-19 level before switching to Morocco and joining its under-23 squad. He was part of Morocco’s 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team and represented Morocco at the 2024 Paris Olympics; he is now listed with RAAL La Louvière.
