Miguel Ángel Borja Hernández

Miguel Borja thrives as a centre-forward who attacks space, runs beyond the line, and pins centre-backs when linking play. He develops attacks from the front by dropping to draw defenders and releasing quick finishes. Borja breaks through with diagonal runs. In 2016, Borja exploded at Cortuluá, scoring 19 goals in 21 games. That breakthrough helped Atlético Nacional win the Copa Libertadores in 2016, with Borja scoring crucial semi-final and final goals. A 2017 move to Palmeiras followed by a high-profile league challenge. Later at River Plate, Borja continued to threaten the back post and finish moves, tallying goals across 2022–25.
