Mateusz Piotr Bogusz
Mateusz Piotr Bogusz is a Polish attacking midfielder whose career has taken him from Ruda Śląska to clubs in England, Spain, the United States and Mexico. Born on 22 August 2001, he began at Gwiazda Ruda Śląska before joining Ruch Chorzów’s youth system at age 10. Bogusz made his senior debut in Poland’s second tier at 16 and later wore Ruch’s number 10 shirt. In January 2019, Leeds United signed him, and he made one league appearance before gaining experience on loan with UD Logroñés and UD Ibiza. An ACL injury suffered at Ibiza in January 2022 kept him out for nine months. After joining Los Angeles FC permanently in March 2023, he scored 20 goals in all competitions during his 2024 breakout season and helped win the U.S. Open Cup. Bogusz then played for Cruz Azul, winning the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, before joining Houston Dynamo in early 2026.
