Marco Bizot

Marco Bizot is a Dutch goalkeeper born in Hoorn on 10 March 1991. He developed in Ajax's youth system and moved to SC Cambuur on loan before making his Eredivisie breakthrough with FC Groningen, where he played from 2012 to 2014. Bizot then joined Belgian club Genk, gaining European experience during a three-year spell. In 2017, he moved to AZ Alkmaar, becoming the club's first-choice goalkeeper and setting a Dutch record with 22 clean sheets in a calendar year in 2019. He transferred to Stade Brestois 29 in 2021 and established himself in Ligue 1, helping Brest finish third in 2023–24 and qualify for the Champions League for the first time. Bizot also represented the Netherlands and was included in their squad for Euro 2020. In 2025, he joined Aston Villa, adding experienced goalkeeping depth after years as a regular starter in the Netherlands and France.
