Matteo Bignetti

Matteo Bignetti is an Austrian goalkeeper born in Bruck an der Mur on 6 May 2004. He began developing with Grazer AK in 2013 before joining Eintracht Frankfurt’s academy in 2020. At Frankfurt, Bignetti progressed through the youth and reserve teams and was part of the club’s squad during its 2021–22 UEFA Europa League-winning campaign. He returned to Austria in 2023 with Sturm Graz, featuring for Sturm Graz II as he gained experience in senior football. Bignetti was also involved with Sturm’s first team during a period that included Austrian Bundesliga titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25, as well as the 2023–24 Austrian Cup. He later continued his career with FC Saarbrücken. Internationally, Matteo Bignetti has progressed through Austria’s youth setup and is a member of the Austria U21 squad.
