Mads Bidstrup

Mads Bidstrup is a Danish midfielder born in Køge on 25 February 2001. He developed in Denmark with Herfølge, Brøndby and FC Copenhagen before moving to RB Leipzig in January 2018. Bidstrup joined Brentford in July 2020 and was part of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League in 2021. He then spent the 2022–23 season on loan at FC Nordsjælland, where his energetic midfield displays helped the club finish runners-up in the Danish Superliga and earned him its Player of the Year award. In July 2023, he moved to Red Bull Salzburg, continuing as a pressing-oriented central midfielder who can operate as either a number six or number eight. His game is built around ball recoveries, defensive coverage, sustained running and secure possession rather than headline attacking output. Bidstrup is also linked with Denmark and is currently listed with Lyon.
