Matteo Bianchetti

Matteo Bianchetti is an Italian defender born in Como on 17 March 1993. He developed at local club Corsico before joining Inter’s youth system, where he helped the Under-19 side win the 2012 Campionato Nazionale Primavera and the 2011–12 NextGen Series. Bianchetti was included in Inter’s first-team squads and Champions League lists, but did not make a competitive senior appearance. Seeking regular football, he moved to Hellas Verona in Serie B in January 2013, debuting against Spezia, and later spent time on loan or in co-ownership arrangements involving Spezia and Empoli. He also represented Italy at the Under-21 European Championships in 2013 and 2015, captaining the latter tournament. In August 2019, Matteo Bianchetti joined Cremonese on a free transfer, establishing himself as a long-term defender for the club.
