Marcus Bettinelli

Marcus Bettinelli is an English goalkeeper born in Camberwell on 24 May 1992. He developed at Crystal Palace, had a trial with Arsenal after his release at 12, and joined Fulham at 14, signing his first professional contract in 2010. To gain senior experience, Bettinelli made 42 appearances for Dartford in 2012/13 and then played for Accrington Stanley in 2013/14, where he won the club’s Young Player of the Year award. After Fulham’s relegation, he became their first-choice goalkeeper in 2014/15, making 45 appearances and finishing second in the club’s Player of the Season vote. He later reclaimed the starting role and helped Fulham beat Aston Villa 1–0 in the 2018 Championship play-off final, keeping three clean sheets across the play-offs. Bettinelli joined Chelsea in 2021, moving into a reserve role while contributing experience and leadership around the goalkeeping group. In June 2025, he moved to Manchester City, continuing his career within another Premier League squad.
