Mustapha Benzia
Mustapha Benzia is a French midfielder born on 16 August 1990. He developed in Normandy with Saint-Aubin FC and RC Caudebec before continuing his early senior career at Évreux FC 27 and CMS Oissel. Benzia joined FC Rouen 1899 on 1 July 2017, beginning the long association that has defined his career. At Rouen, he has become an established presence in central midfield and a regular member of the side competing in the Championnat National. Primarily a defensive midfielder, Benzia has also been used in box-to-box, ball-winning and deep-lying playmaking roles. His work centres on protecting the defence, disrupting opposition attacks and helping his team circulate possession from the middle.
