Mehdi Beneddine
Mehdi Beneddine is a French defender born in Nîmes on 26 February 1996. He developed in the Gard region before joining AS Monaco’s academy in 2011, progressing through the youth system and appearing for Monaco B. In January 2017, Beneddine moved to Cercle Brugge on loan, making his senior debut in a 3–1 victory over Tubize on his 21st birthday. He later continued his professional development with Quevilly before moving to Algeria to join USM Alger in 2020. Beneddine subsequently returned to France, enjoying further involvement with Châteauroux and rejoining hometown club Nîmes Olympique in 2024, where he made 28 appearances during the 2024–25 season. A left-sided defender, he has also operated at left midfield, contributing through short passing, crossing, positioning and recovery work, and is currently registered with CS Constantine.
