Mathis Albert, a left winger, attacks space, cuts inside, and threatens the back post. Albert moved to Borussia Dortmund's youth academy in early 2024 from LA Galaxy. He thrives in tight spaces. Promoted to Dortmund U19 by January 2025, Mathis Albert became a key figure. Albert signed his first pro contract with Dortmund II in July 2025, through mid-2027. He debuted for Dortmund II in the Regionalliga West and earned a senior squad call-up for the 2025 Club World Cup as an unused substitute. For the United States at youth level, Mathis Albert netted a winning goal in a 2025 U-17 World Cup group match.
