Mohamed Abu Fani
Mohamed Abu Fani is an Israeli midfielder born in Kfar Qara on 27 April 1998. He developed in Maccabi Haifa’s academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2017. Loan spells with Hapoel Ramat Gan and Hapoel Hadera gave him experience in Israel’s second and top divisions before he returned to Haifa in 2020. Abu Fani became a regular and helped Maccabi Haifa win three successive Israeli Premier League titles from 2020/21 to 2022/23. In June 2023, he moved to Ferencvarosi TC, where he won the Hungarian league in each of his first two seasons. A central midfielder, he contributes through passing, ball retention and progression while also operating deeper or in advanced areas. Abu Fani has represented Israel internationally and is now listed with FK Crvena Zvezda.
