Lucas Soares de Almeida

Lucas Soares de Almeida is a Brazilian defender born in Goiânia on May 4, 1998. He developed in the Cruzeiro youth system before moving to Portugal with Alverca during the 2018–19 season. At Vitória SC, Soares made his senior debut in the Taça da Liga against Feirense in August 2019 and also played for Vitória B. He then joined Casa Pia, where he spent two seasons and helped the club establish itself in Portugal’s top flight. After returning to Alverca, he moved permanently to Santa Clara in 2023. Primarily a right-back, Lucas Soares can also operate farther forward on the right or in a defensive midfield role. His profile is built around acceleration, dribbling and crossing, complemented by aggressive tackling and recovery work as he contributes along the flank.
