Lukáš Zima

Lukáš Zima is a Czech goalkeeper born in Hradec Králové on 9 January 1994. He developed at FC Hradec Králové from 2004 to 2009 before continuing his education in the Slavia Prague academy. In 2011, Zima moved to Genoa, beginning a prolonged period in Italian football that included loan spells with Reggiana, Venezia, Mantova and Perugia between 2014 and 2019. He later joined Livorno on a permanent basis in 2019, then spent two seasons with Dutch Eerste Divisie club VVV-Venlo, making 24 appearances. Zima moved to Romania in 2023 to join Petrolul Ploiești, where his performances included 12 clean sheets during the 2023–24 campaign. Standing 1.96 metres tall, he offers a strong aerial presence and is comfortable claiming crosses and leaving his line to deal with danger. Internationally, he represented the Czech Republic from under-16 through under-21 level, gaining experience across the youth pathway.
