Leo Carlos Junior Smith
Leo Carlos Junior Smith is a Welsh central midfielder from Bangor, born on 15 May 1998. He developed with Porthmadog Juniors before joining the Wrexham academy, making his senior debut as a substitute in a 2–1 win over Bromley in October 2016. Smith was named Wrexham’s Young Player of the Year for 2016–17, but later sought regular football through spells with Llandudno and Caernarfon Town. After joining Caernarfon permanently in July 2019, he moved to The New Saints a year later. At The New Saints, Smith has helped win three Cymru Premier titles, two Welsh Cups and a League Cup. He has also appeared in UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifiers. Smith’s game combines distribution and creative passing with a deeper role in possession, where he helps circulate the ball and contributes defensively.
