Łukasz Skorupski

Łukasz Skorupski is a Polish goalkeeper born in Zabrze on 5 May 1991. He developed at Górnik Zabrze and reached the club’s first team before moving to Italy in 2013, when he joined AS Roma. At Roma, Skorupski gained Champions League experience, including a 2014 appearance against Manchester City, while competing for opportunities behind established starters. He then spent two seasons on loan at Empoli from 2015 to 2017, making 67 appearances and establishing himself as a regular Serie A goalkeeper. In 2018, he transferred to Bologna, where he became a long-serving starter and passed 270 appearances for the club. For Poland, Skorupski initially operated behind Wojciech Szczęsny and Łukasz Fabiański before starting against France at Euro 2024, making seven saves in a 1–1 draw and receiving UEFA’s Player of the Match award. At Bologna, Łukasz Skorupski combines close-range reflexes with assertive box work, often punching away danger and contributing to buildup.
