Leo Sauer

Leo Sauer attacks space from the left wing, checks runs beyond the line, and cuts inside to threaten the back post with his right foot. He began at Slovan Bratislava before moving to MŠK Žilina's academy, a key stepping stone in his development. He thrives on quick frontline bursts. Sauer joined Feyenoord on loan in 2022/23 and signed a pro deal in 2023, marking a rising club pathway. His dream Eredivisie debut in Aug 2023 saw a stoppage-time equaliser against Sparta Rotterdam, a turning point in confidence. In 2024, Sauer became the youngest ever Slovakia player and appeared at Euro 2024, the international note. He collects the Petr Dubovsky Award for Slovakia U21 twice, matching a record. Leo Sauer operates as a left winger who presses high, creates separation with vertical passes, and finishes moves from the edge of the box.
