Léo Pétrot

Léo Pétrot is a French left-back who can also operate at centre-back. Born in Firminy on 15 April 1997, he developed in the Loire region before joining the Saint-Étienne academy in 2012. He later gained senior experience with Saint-Étienne II and Andrézieux, progressing through the French lower divisions. In July 2021, Pétrot signed his first professional contract with Lorient and made his Ligue 1 debut that August in a 2–2 draw against Lens. He returned to Saint-Étienne in August 2022, bringing experience across the left side and central defence. During the 2023–24 campaign, he helped Saint-Étienne win promotion to Ligue 1 and scored in the promotion play-offs. Standing 188 centimetres tall, Pétrot offers defensive cover and aerial presence, while his ability to switch between full-back and centre-back remains a key feature of his profile.
