Leonard Owusu

Leonard Owusu is a Ghanaian midfielder known primarily for central and defensive roles. Born on June 3, 1997, he developed at Dreams FC, where he became an important player between 2015 and 2018. In 2018, Owusu captained Dreams FC to the GHALCA G8 Tournament title, scoring the winning goal in the final and receiving the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award. He moved to Israel in July 2018, joining FC Ashdod on loan and making 46 league appearances during his time there. Vancouver Whitecaps acquired Owusu in 2020, giving him experience in Major League Soccer before his later move to Norway. He joined Odd BK in 2023 and signed for Serbian club FK Partizan in early 2024. Owusu is currently associated with Fredrikstad, where he is on loan from Partizan and can operate as either a holding midfielder or a more mobile number eight.
