Luke Terry O'Nien
Luke Terry O'Nien is an English midfielder from Hemel Hempstead, born on 21 November 1994. He developed at Watford, joining the academy as an Under-9 and spending 13 years there before being released in 2015. During his Watford years, O'Nien spent 2014–15 on loan at Wealdstone, helping the club win the Ryman Premier title. He then moved to Wycombe Wanderers after a trial and played from 2015 to 2018, developing into an attacking midfielder and scoring 10 goals in one season. O'Nien joined Sunderland in 2018 after the club's relegation to League One, initially arriving as an attacking midfielder before also operating at right-back and centre-back. At Sunderland, he has become a versatile senior figure, contributing through pressing, defensive work and distribution while helping the club return to the Premier League by winning the 2025 Championship play-off final.
