Lukas Okechukwu Nmecha
Lukas Okechukwu Nmecha is a forward for Leeds United, having been born in Hamburg on 14 December 1998. He developed in Manchester City’s academy after moving to England as a child and made his senior debut in an EFL Cup tie against Leicester City in 2017. Loans at Preston North End, Middlesbrough and VfL Wolfsburg broadened his experience before he joined Anderlecht, where he scored 21 goals during the 2020–21 season. Nmecha then returned to Wolfsburg on a permanent basis and later moved to Leeds in 2025. At Leeds, Lukas Nmecha has been used as a central striker who can also contribute from wider areas. Internationally, he represented England at youth level before switching to Germany, scoring the winning goal in the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship final. He made his senior Germany debut in November 2021.
