Liam Morrison

Liam Morrison is a Scottish defender from Saltcoats who came through Celtic’s academy after also spending time in Rangers’ youth setup. In June 2019, aged 16, he joined Celtic’s senior squad for a pre-season tour and made his debut in a 6–1 win over Pinkafeld. That summer, Morrison moved to Bayern Munich, beginning a five-year development period in Germany. He featured for Bayern Munich II in the Regionalliga Bayern and was named on the first-team bench for a Bundesliga match in May 2023. For 2023–24, he joined Wigan Athletic on loan, gaining senior experience in League One. QPR signed the centre-back permanently in July 2024, and he made 21 Championship appearances in his first season. Morrison has represented Scotland at youth level, earning 25 caps, and was included in The Guardian’s 2020 list of 60 leading young talents.
