Leonel Dahl Montano

Leonel Dahl Montano is a Danish defender who developed in Copenhagen with BK Skjold and B.93. He made his senior debut for B.93 in the Danish Cup against F.C. Copenhagen in March 2017, initially featuring as an attacking player. Montano joined Vejle Boldklub in 2019 and helped the club secure promotion to the Danish Superliga during the first half of 2020. He then spent part of 2021 on loan at FC Fredericia before moving to Esbjerg fB later that year. At Esbjerg, Montano underwent a significant positional change, becoming a left-back during the 2023–24 season. His performances in that role led to a move to Silkeborg IF in 2025. In February 2026, Montano joined HJK Helsinki on loan for the Veikkausliiga season, continuing his development as a tall, attack-minded defender.
