Lewis Miley
Lewis Miley is an English central midfielder who was born in Stanley on 1 May 2006. He joined Newcastle United’s academy at seven and initially played as a centre-forward before moving into midfield during his development. After making his Under-18 debut at 15 and appearing 14 times for the Under-21s, Miley signed his first professional contract on his 17th birthday. He made his Newcastle first-team debut against Chelsea on 28 May 2023, becoming the club’s youngest Premier League debutant at the time. During the 2023–24 season, he featured regularly amid a midfield injury crisis and became Newcastle’s youngest Premier League and Champions League assist-maker. Miley also scored against Fulham in December 2023, becoming Newcastle’s youngest Premier League goalscorer, and remains part of the Newcastle squad.
