Lovro Majer

Lovro Majer is a Croatian attacking midfielder born in Zagreb on 17 January 1998. He developed in Dinamo Zagreb’s academy before progressing through NK Lokomotiva Zagreb, where he made his senior debut in 2016. Majer’s performances for Lokomotiva earned him a return to Dinamo in 2018, where he became part of a midfield that included Dani Olmo. In 2021, he transferred to Rennes, establishing himself in Ligue 1 through his left-footed passing, close control and chance creation. His 2021–22 campaign brought selection in L’Équipe’s Ligue 1 Team of the Season after six goals and nine assists. Majer has also represented Croatia, operating as an attacking midfielder and on the right side. He was part of Croatia’s squad that finished third at the 2022 World Cup, adding international experience to a career built around creativity and positional versatility.
