Lassi Roni Kasperi Lappalainen

Lassi Roni Kasperi Lappalainen is a Finnish winger born in Espoo in 1998. He developed at Espoon Palloseura before joining HJK Helsinki and featuring for reserve side Klubi 04, including UEFA Youth League campaigns in 2015–16 and 2016–17. A loan to RoPS in 2017 brought senior football, and he scored 11 Veikkausliiga goals in 2018, when the club finished second. He then moved to Bologna but made no competitive appearance for the Italian club before joining CF Montréal in 2019. With Montréal, Lappalainen combined wide attacking play with wing-back duties and scored twice on his MLS debut against Philadelphia Union. He has represented Finland at senior level, debuting against Sweden in 2019, and appeared at UEFA Euro 2020. After his North American spell, he returned to HJK Helsinki, bringing MLS experience to his boyhood club.
