Liam Patrick Kelly

Liam Patrick Kelly is a Scottish goalkeeper who has represented Rangers and developed through the club’s academy. Born in Glasgow on 23 January 1996, he joined Rangers’ youth system at age ten and progressed through its age groups. To gain first-team experience, he spent loan spells at East Fife in 2016 and Livingston from 2016 to 2017. Kelly moved permanently to Livingston in 2018, establishing himself as a regular goalkeeper and earning attention for his communication and distribution. He then joined Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship, where he played between 2019 and 2021 before returning to Scotland. Initially joining Motherwell on loan, he later moved there permanently, became captain and developed into an influential senior figure. His form brought a senior Scotland debut against France in October 2023 and inclusion in the Euro 2024 squad. In 2024, Liam Kelly returned to Rangers, later keeping a clean sheet on his emotional debut in a 1–0 victory over Dundee.
