Lindrit Kamberi

Lindrit Kamberi is a Swiss defender born in Zürich on 7 October 1999. He began playing with FC Volketswil and FC Zürich-Oberland before joining FC Zürich’s academy at 13, developing within the club’s youth system. Kamberi signed his first professional contract in 2018 and moved to FC Wil on loan for the 2019–20 season, making 34 appearances. He then spent 2020–21 with FC Winterthur, where he scored his first professional goal against Wil. Recalled by FC Zürich in March 2021 during an injury crisis, he made his competitive debut on 25 April and became part of the squad that won the 2021–22 Swiss Super League title. Primarily a centre-back, Kamberi has also covered right-back and defensive midfield. He has represented Switzerland at under-18, under-19 and under-20 level and remains with FC Zürich, signing an extension in 2024 through June 2028.
