Lukáš Hrádecký

Lukáš Hrádecký is a Finnish goalkeeper born in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 24 November 1989. His family moved to Finland when he was young, and he developed at TPS Turku before beginning his senior career with Esbjerg fB in Denmark in 2009. At Esbjerg, he won the Danish 1st Division and Danish Cup in 2013, then joined Brøndby IF before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2015. Hrádecký helped Frankfurt win the DFB-Pokal in 2018 and was subsequently named Bundesliga Goalkeeper of the Season. He joined Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer that year, became captain before the 2021–22 season, and led the club to the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in the unbeaten 2023–24 campaign. For Finland, Hrádecký chose to represent the country internationally, earning more than 100 caps and featuring at Euro 2020, Finland’s first major tournament. In August 2025, he moved to AS Monaco, taking his experience as a reflexive shot-stopper and composed leader into a new chapter.
