Lee Grace

Lee Grace is an Irish defender from Tipperary who took an unconventional route into senior football. At 18, he enlisted in the Irish Army and spent four years balancing military service with part-time football at Carrick United. His progress in the Waterford Premier League brought him to Wexford Youths in 2015, where he helped win the First Division title and established himself in the senior side. Grace followed manager Shane Keegan to Galway United in 2017 before joining Shamrock Rovers in July of that year. At Tallaght, he became a regular centre-back and helped Rovers win the FAI Cup in 2019. He was also part of the side that secured five successive Premier Division titles from 2020 through 2024. Grace’s career reflects steady development, defensive responsibility and a rise from part-time football to a leading role at Shamrock Rovers.
