Lutsharel Geertruida
Lutsharel Geertruida is a Dutch right-back from Rotterdam who can also operate at centre-back or in defensive midfield. He began at Overmaas and Spartaan ’20 before joining Sparta Rotterdam’s academy at nine, then moved to Feyenoord in 2012. Geertruida made his senior Feyenoord debut as a substitute in the KNVB Cup in October 2017 and gradually established himself as a versatile defender. His breakthrough came in 2020/21, when he scored five league goals while becoming increasingly important to the team. He helped Feyenoord win the 2022/23 Eredivisie title and later served as a leading figure during the club’s 2023/24 KNVB Cup-winning campaign. In 2024, Geertruida moved to RB Leipzig and featured in the Champions League. He has represented the Netherlands from youth level through the senior international team.
