Laros d'Encarnação Duarte

Laros d'Encarnação Duarte is a Dutch-born midfielder from Rotterdam. He developed at Sparta Rotterdam before joining PSV Eindhoven. His professional pathway began with Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie in 2015, followed by a return to Sparta Rotterdam on loan and then permanently. From 2021 to 2024, Duarte played for FC Groningen and established himself in the Eredivisie. In 2024, he moved to Hungary to join Puskás Akadémia. Primarily a defensive or central midfielder, Laros Duarte manages transitions, protects possession and launches attacks with long passes. He also takes set pieces and direct free-kicks, recording four assists in approximately 1,957 minutes during 2025/26. After representing the Netherlands from under-16 to under-20 level, he chose Cape Verde, made his senior debut in 2023 and was included in their Africa Cup of Nations squad.
