Lucas Digne

Lucas Digne is a French left-back born in Meaux on 20 July 1993. He developed in the youth systems of Mareuil-sur-Ourcq and Crépy-en-Valois before joining Lille, where he progressed into the first team and helped the club finish third in Ligue 1. His performances also earned selection for France’s victorious 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup squad. Digne moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, then gained regular experience during a 2015–16 loan at Roma. He later joined Barcelona, winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey before moving to Everton in 2018. At Everton, Lucas Digne became a prominent attacking outlet, delivering crosses and set pieces while contributing from the left flank. He transferred to Aston Villa in early 2022 and continued to combine defensive positioning with width, crossing and build-up play. Internationally, he has represented France, adding senior experience to the youth-level success that marked his emergence.
