Lewis John Cook

Lewis John Cook is an English central midfielder born in York in 1997. He joined Leeds United’s academy at the age of seven and progressed through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut in 2014. At Leeds, Cook was named Championship Apprentice of the Year in 2014–15, then won the EFL Young Player of the Year award the following season. In 2016, he moved to Bournemouth and developed into an established Premier League midfielder. Cook captained England Under-20s to the 2017 FIFA World Cup, adding an important international achievement to his early career. He made his senior England debut against Italy in March 2018. Despite suffering two ACL injuries, Cook remains with Bournemouth, where his composed passing and positional awareness support the team’s midfield control.
