Lucas Camelo
Lucas Camelo is a French defender born on 7 February 1999. He developed in the Rhône-Alpes region, playing for Genay and Bord de Saône before joining Villefranche’s youth setup in 2013. Camelo began his senior career with Villefranche in 2017, making 14 appearances and scoring once across two seasons. In 2019, he moved to Chasselay MDA, also known as Monts d’Or Azergues and later GOAL FC, where he continued his development. Chambly Thelle FC signed him to his first professional contract on 18 May 2020, and he made his Ligue 2 debut against Clermont that October. After two seasons and 35 appearances for Chambly, Camelo returned to GOAL FC in 2022, recording 47 appearances and four goals. He rejoined Villefranche on a free transfer in July 2024, completing a return to the club where his senior journey began.
