Leandro Daniel Cabrera Sasía

Leandro Daniel Cabrera Sasía is a Uruguayan centre-back born in Montevideo on 17 June 1991. He developed at Defensor Sporting and broke into its first team in 2008, helping the club win the 2009 Clausura title. Atlético Madrid signed Cabrera in 2009, beginning a Spanish career that included loan spells with Recreativo de Huelva, Numancia, Hércules and Real Madrid Castilla. After a period with Crotone in Italy, he established himself at Getafe, where his defensive work and aerial presence suited a demanding system. Espanyol signed him in January 2020, and Cabrera became a regular presence for the Catalan club. Standing 1.90 metres, he offers strength in aerial duels, conservative clearances and experience at centre-back. He later wore the captain's armband at Espanyol, while his continued role there has made him an important veteran in the squad.
