Leonardo Fabrizio Bertone
Leonardo Fabrizio Bertone is a Swiss midfielder who developed through SC Wohlensee and the BSC Young Boys academy. He made his professional debut for Young Boys in the 2011–12 season and became a regular central midfielder by 2013–14. Bertone helped Young Boys win the 2017–18 Swiss Super League title, the club’s first in 32 years, and also appeared in Champions League qualifying. In December 2018, he moved to FC Cincinnati and scored the club’s first MLS goal in March 2019. He returned to Switzerland with FC Thun in January 2020 before joining Waasland-Beveren, now SK Beveren, in September that year. Bertone returned to Thun in July 2022 and is listed with FC Luzern. His career has included football in Switzerland, the United States and Belgium.
