Lucas Carl Edvard Bergström

Lucas Carl Edvard Bergström is a Finnish goalkeeper born in Pargas on 5 September 2002. Standing 2.05 metres tall, he began playing at Pargas Idrottsförening before joining TPS Turku, where he developed as a goalkeeper and moved permanently at 14. Chelsea signed Bergström in October 2018, and he progressed through the club’s academy, featuring for the under-18 and under-23 teams while earning first-team bench involvement without making a senior competitive appearance. He gained senior experience on loan at Peterborough United in 2022–23, making 28 League One appearances and recording nine clean sheets. A 2024 loan at Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna brought three appearances before ending early. Bergström later joined Mallorca, where he made his La Liga debut and continued his development in Spain. Internationally, he has represented Finland at under-21 level.
