Luis Eduardo Barraza
Luis Eduardo Barraza is an American goalkeeper born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on November 8, 1996. He developed with the Real Salt Lake-Arizona academy, helping its U-15/U-16 team win the 2013 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship before progressing to the U-18 level. Barraza played four collegiate seasons for Marquette from 2015 through 2018, making 53 appearances and winning Big East Goalkeeper of the Year as a senior. During his summers, he also gained experience with Lane United FC, FC Tucson and Chicago FC United in USL League Two. New York City FC selected him 12th overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, and he later made his professional debut against Tigres UANL in the 2020 Concacaf Champions League. As part of NYCFC, Barraza won the 2021 MLS Cup and 2022 Campeones Cup, starting the latter final and keeping a clean sheet against Atlas. After moving to D.C. United in late 2024, he joined Inter Miami as a free agent in January 2026, bringing MLS experience and a composed, proactive approach to goalkeeping.
