Liridon Balaj
Liridon Balaj is a Kosovo international midfielder who represents Drita. Born in Switzerland in 1999, he began his development with Rinia Isniq before joining the youth system at KF Besa Pejë. Balaj made his senior breakthrough with Besa Pejë in 2016 and helped the club win the Kosovo Cup in 2016–17. In 2019, he moved to Switzerland to join FC Aarau, gaining several seasons of experience in the Swiss Challenge League. He later continued his career with Belgian club KMSK Deinze and spent the 2023–24 season on loan at FC Schaffhausen. After a spell with Skënderbeu, Balaj returned to Kosovo and joined Drita in 2025, where he has featured in European qualifying campaigns. He represented Kosovo at under-19 and under-21 level before making his senior debut against Guinea in June 2021.
