Lucien Jefferson Agoumé

Lucien Jefferson Agoumé is a French defensive midfielder born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on 9 February 2002. He developed in France with SC Clémenceau Besançon and Racing Besançon before joining Sochaux’s academy at 12. Agoumé made his senior debut for Sochaux in Ligue 2 against Troyes in October 2018, becoming the club’s youngest debutant. In 2019, Inter signed him, beginning a period in which he continued his development through loans to Spezia, Stade Brestois 29 and Estac Troyes. His 2021/22 spell at Brest gave him regular Ligue 1 experience and increased his profile. Agoumé later moved to Sevilla, where he has been used primarily as a holding midfielder in front of the defence. At 185cm, he offers defensive coverage and composed distribution while helping his side retain midfield structure.
