Kevin Wimmer

Kevin Wimmer is an Austrian centre-back born in Wels. He developed in Austria, progressing through FC Edt, the Fußballakademie Linz and LASK before moving to 1. FC Köln in 2012. At Köln, Wimmer helped the club earn promotion to the Bundesliga during the 2013–14 season. In the following campaign, he established himself in Germany’s top flight and attracted Tottenham’s attention. Tottenham signed him in 2015, where he provided centre-back cover and featured during the club’s title challenge. After leaving England, Wimmer joined Stoke City and later spent loan spells with Hannover 96, Royal Excel Mouscron and Karlsruher SC. He returned to Austria with Rapid Vienna in 2021, rebuilding his career. Wimmer then moved to Slovan Bratislava in 2023, where he has continued as a defensive leader and won the 2023–24 league title.
