Keigo Tsunemoto

Keigo Tsunemoto is a Japanese defender who operates primarily at right-back. He developed with Machida Ogawa FC and the Yokohama F. Marinos academy, where he captained the youth side, before studying at Meiji University from 2017 to 2020. Tsunemoto joined Kashima Antlers in 2020 and made his senior debut that November against Yokohama F. Marinos as a Special Designated Player. He became a regular for Kashima between 2021 and 2023, building experience in Japan’s J1 League. In July 2023, Tsunemoto moved to Servette FC, where he quickly gained European experience through the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. His performances there reflected a defender willing to intercept, recover and carry the ball forward, while also covering in central defence when required. Tsunemoto joined FC Basel 1893 in July 2025, continuing his career in Switzerland.
