Kenny Joelle Tete
Kenny Joelle Tete is a Dutch football defender who plays primarily as a right-back for Fulham. Born in Amsterdam on 9 October 1995, he developed at amateur clubs AFC DWS and AVV Zeeburgia before joining Ajax’s academy in 2005. He helped Ajax B1 win the B-Juniors Eredivisie title in 2011–12 and signed his first professional contract in July 2012. Tete broke into Ajax’s senior team during the 2014–15 season, making 55 appearances before moving to Lyon in 2017. At Lyon, he made 82 appearances and featured during the club’s run to the 2019–20 Champions League semi-finals. He joined Fulham in 2020 and contributed to their 2021–22 Championship-winning campaign. At Fulham, Kenny Tete remains a defensively minded full-back, valued for tackling, recovery work and the ability to operate as a right-sided centre-back.
