Killian Sardella

Killian Sardella is a Belgian defender who developed at Anderlecht’s Neerpede academy after beginning with KVK Wemmel and FC Molenbeek Brussels. At Anderlecht, he won youth titles with the under-14, under-15 and under-17 teams. Sardella represented Belgium at several youth levels, including the 2018 and 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championships. He made his Anderlecht first-team debut in August 2019, aged 17, during Vincent Kompany’s tenure. Primarily a right-back, he has also filled in at centre-back and left-back, giving the team defensive flexibility. Sardella contributes to build-up with controlled passing and generally protects the defensive structure rather than constantly pushing into advanced areas. After difficult early seasons, he established himself more consistently in 2023–24, recording 34 appearances in a campaign that marked a significant step in his Anderlecht career. His progress led to a Belgium senior-team call-up in late 2024, extending a pathway that began in the national youth setup.
