Kaden Kai Rodney

Kaden Kai Rodney is an English midfielder developed by Crystal Palace. He joined the club’s academy at eight and progressed through its age-group teams, often playing above his age level. In 2020–21, Rodney became a regular starter for the Under-18s and scored a notable long-range goal against Brighton & Hove Albion. He signed his first professional contract in October 2021 and was subsequently involved with England Under-18s, earning three caps. Rodney made his senior debut for Palace in August 2022, starting at left-back in a 2–0 Carabao Cup win over Oxford United and helping keep a clean sheet. His versatility has also taken him across the back line while his principal role has developed in central midfield. He helped Crystal Palace’s Under-21s win the Premier League International Cup in 2023–24 and remains listed with Crystal Palace U23.
