Karel Pojezný

Karel Pojezný is a Czech defender who plays for Baník Ostrava. Born on 23 September 2001, he entered FC Vysočina Jihlava’s youth academy in 2007. He later progressed to Jihlava’s senior team, gaining experience in Czech professional football before joining Baník Ostrava in January 2022. At Ostrava, Pojezný developed into a regular central defender and contributed during the club’s European qualifying campaigns. He has represented Czechia at under-20 level, supporting his progression through the national setup. Primarily a center-back, he can also cover at left-back, giving his team flexibility across defensive systems.
