Keaton Alexander Parks
Keaton Alexander Parks is an American midfielder born in Frisco, Texas, in 1997. After three years at Liberty High School, he played for the Liverpool Warriors before choosing a trial in Portugal over an opportunity at Southern Methodist University in 2015. Varzim SC signed Parks after scouting him at a tournament in Póvoa de Varzim, giving him a route into professional football in Portugal’s second tier. His progress there led to a move to S.L. Benfica in 2017, where he featured for the reserve side and made senior appearances. Parks joined New York City FC on loan in 2019 and completed a permanent move in 2020, becoming a possession-focused link between defence and attack. He has also faced recurring popliteal artery problems, including surgeries, but remains part of NYCFC’s midfield group.
